Every member of the LibreTexts team is an academic – we are faculty, we are students, and we are librarians. As such, we are in the proverbial trenches with other academics in adjusting to the ever changing realities of the COVID-19 virus to our academic mission.

The LibreTexts team is here for you.

No one is unaffected by the chaos – my chemistry class at UC Davis this quarter was heavily disrupted as has thousands of others classes across the globe. The LibreTexts team is actively following the news regarding COVID-19 as well as the plans being put forth by numerous institutions of higher education to temporarily move courses online.

The LibreTexts team is here for you.

As the largest OER project online, we are well aware of the unique challenges and opportunities that online instruction presents. We are also keenly aware that not all faculty are prepared to move their courses online at a moment’s notice. Any faculty requesting a LibreTexts account will have access to over 140,000 pages of OER material that is easily remixed/customized for your educational mission. Furthermore, while our online homework system (query.libretexts.org) is still in its infancy, if any faculty member wants to take advantage of it please contact us directly at [email protected] to do so.

The LibreTexts project is support by the federal government (US Dept. of Education) and it is your tax dollars that support our effort. If our community supported platform can help you in any way, as a member of that community, please take advantage of us. We have no financial interest in faculty or students using our platform; no hidden fees; no loss leaders, no alternative agendas, no delayed request for cash, no data collection and no data selling. Our mission is your mission – to educate our future. And we take that seriously both as academics and as not-for-profit organization.

The LibreTexts team is here for you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact our team if you need assistance utilizing any of our resources or services for your courses: [email protected].
